St. Thomas Lion's Recieve Ontario Volunteer Award

Both Past District Govenor Evelyn Spiering (Left) and District Governor Wayne Cudney recieved the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards for 30 and 15 years of service respectively from Jeff Yurek M.P.P. Elgin-Middlesex-London. Other St. Thomas Lions to recieve awards were: John Wong (40), Art McCandless (25), and Charlie Berry (25). These awards are presented to thoes who volunteer in their communites accross Ontario for years of service.

A-1 District Governor Lion Wayne Cudney (centre) presents awards to two very deserving St Thomas Lions: The 100% District A1 Secretary Award for 2011-12 to Lion Secretary Anne Neill and the International President's Membership Growth Award to Past President Lion Don Eplett on behalf of Wing-Kun Tam, Lions International President,2011-12.

President Recieves Award

Past Club President Don presents a special plaque, on behalf of International PresidentTam, to Lion President Rob, recognizing the Club's efforts to meet his goal of planting one million trees in 2011-12. St.Thomas Lions Club was one of the top 100 tree-planting Lions Clubs in Canada and was part of the Lions global effort of planting over 15 million trees in 100 countries. Canadian Lions contributed by planting over 75,000 trees.

AVSS awarded the Lions Clun of St. Thomas Scholarship

The Arthur Voaden SS Guitar Ensemble shown with their teacher Mr.Callowhill were awarded the Lions Club of St.Thomas Scholarship at the 58th St Thomas Rotary Music Festival on April 13,2012. The ensemble also won the Tom Takayesu Plaque for guitars.
